I have just read a Health article in "What's the Alternative" in the KM publication Focus (May 2003). There are several points that need to highlighted namely the CACI anti-ageing face and body treatment (I always thought CACI was a term for excrement )and the QX machine that checks the body for viruses, fungi and other problems.
Both these treatments are pure quackery and to associate them as a health type product is an insult. My challenge is to show me the evidence that the CACI treatment is better than simply washing and moisturising with simple aqueous cream that can be bought in any chemist at stopping ageing of the skin. My next challenge to the QX machine, with its futuristic headgear, would be to accurately tell me whether it can accurately diagnose a viral or fungal infection in a patient. What is even more amazing is that it can be done over the telephone as the electromagnetic waves travel in subspace. Both these challenges will go unanswered because these treatments do not work.
We all complain about rogue traders but let this sort of quackery and duping go on unhindered. Furthermore I'm sure it breaks the trade description act. If someone does not stop the claims made by these so called health workers they will soon be telling everyone they have cured cancer.
Stop using these services and hopefully they will go out of business and prevent them obtaining peoples money and wasting their time. Even report them when your skin ages (despite the CACI TREATMENT) or the so-called fungus continues to affect the electromagnetic waves of your brain ! |
