Alternatively if you would like us to confirm your appointment by telephone please leave the number to return the call to in your email.

An appointment is needed for all other procedures such as ear syringing, dressings, removal of sutures and travel vaccinations.  Please book these with the receptionist during surgery hours.

Please note that if you require ear syringing a minimum charge of £20-00 will apply which takes into account the need to confirm the presence of wax is causing the symptoms. Please also ensure olive oil has been inserted into the ear twice a day for two days before attendance.

How to access a consultation and what is provided

To book a consultation with a practitioner at the Abbey Practice you will need to make an appointment  either by telephone or speaking to the receptionist. The one exception to this is if you are obtaining medicines or other products from the Practice,  which can be done only when the surgery is open. These times are published  in Surgeries and Clinics  on this wesite.

An Independent Medical Practitioner  can refer you for second opinions to the NHS if necessary as well as referring you for appropriate NHS investigations. These referrals would be free of charge.

As an Independent Medical Practitioner I will not be able to write NHS prescriptions. However most drugs are cheap (see website on drug purhases) and would have to be provided on a private prescription or dispensed from this Practice, the costs of which would be provided for you to view. At least 48 hours should be given for this practice to dispense a repeat prescription.

All consultations will attract a fee the cost of which will depend on whether you require a 15, 20 or 30 minute consultation. At the time of booking the appointment, guidance will be given by the receptionist on the length of consultation required. Certain medicals have fixed fees which can be found in the Occupational Health section of this website.

Further information on opening times and practitioner appointment times are now available on this website and on our Practice leaflet which can be obtained at the surgery.
